I always like to have 1 Kindle book and 1 audiobook going at all times. The other big benefit of the Libby app is you can download Kindle and audiobooks right to your device. There are so many phenomenal books in the world - life is too short to waste time trudging through one that isn’t your style, or not reading at all because you’re afraid you won’t like it. Or how about the paralysis of purchasing a book to begin with, taking more time to consider it before purchasing? By renting books, you can stack as many rentals as you want back to back and return them immediately if they don’t suit your style. Well, have you ever gotten stuck for months on a book you don’t love, forcing yourself to finish it because you spent money on it? If you had rented that book for free, you could’ve cut off when you got bored and jumped to a book you could finish. Maybe you don’t think the cost of books is stopping you from reading more. Nothing like curling up with a dog and reading Here are 3 changes I made in my life to read over 45 books a year: I only needed to make 3 small shifts in my habits in order to increase my reading by 450%. And it didn’t really take that much change in my life. I went from reading less than 10 books a year to over 45. Therefore, the way to read more books is to reorient your day to make reading more of a priority. Now that we agree that reading is awesome, how does one read more? Time is a finite resource and we all technically have the same amount of hours in the day (although depending on your circumstances this time might be taken up by family/other obligations). Considering you’re reading this on Medium right now, you’re likely already a reader - so I won’t belabor this point too much. Reading also creates a better connection to others and the world around us. We learn by reading, expanding our knowledge and vocabulary.
